FAQs
What is your office like?
Our newly remodeled office provides a state-of-the-art facility, digital x-rays, and appointment reminders via text and email. We are certain we can help you achieve your dental goals– and enjoy yourself while doing it. In our office we love knowing our patients! There is usually a good conversation and some laughter coming from different parts of our building.
We are a busy practice with two front desk staff, one hygienist, four assistants, and dentists Dr. Pawlowski and Dr. Hedstrom. Our staff is the best, from our front desk staff who work with you to find the right appointment time and understand your insurance, to our friendly clinical staff who do their best to make you feel comfortable during every visit.
When can I make an appointment?
Our office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
A doctor is on call when we are closed.
Appointments can be made by calling 218.387.2774.
What insurance do you accept?
We are In-Network with the following dental insurance plans:
- Delta Dental Premier
- Health Partners
- United Concordia
- Minnesota Health Care Programs
- Cook County Sliding Scale
- Cook County Oral Health Task Force
We also file insurance for out-of-network plans. If you are uncertain whether your appointment will be covered in part or in full by your insurance, our Business Manager, Karina, is available to help.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
We offer a bookkeeping discount of 5% for payments made in full on the day of service and with check or cash, and an in-house Benefits Plan that covers cleanings and provides a discount for operative procedures. We also work with our patients in setting up short term in-house payment options.
What forms of payment do you take?
We accept cash and most major credit cards. We also accept payment by Citi Health Card, Care Credit, Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). You can mail or drop off a payment at our front door, or call us to pay with a card. Once you have been given log-in information you can pay via our Patient Portal. Email us to request a log-in.
Do I need to get x-rays from my previous dentist?
Yes. Please request your previous dentist email us your most recent X-rays and any full mouth X-rays prior to your first appointment with us. X-rays should be sent as jpeg images (not pdfs). Our email address is: info@grandmaraisfamilydentistry.com
Please note, if the X-rays are not current or of diagnostic quality, we may need to take additional pictures of your teeth (which may incur charges accordingly).
